SUMMARY:Symphony Fall Concert - Autumnal Reverie
DESCRIPTION:DescriptionPre-concert Talk 7:00 p.m. \nFall in Winona can bring gentle breezes\, multicolored foliage\, beautiful bluffs\, and a gradual transition into cooler weather. Autumn can also engender deep cold\, dramatic frost\, and even snow. These many manifestations of the season are all captured in the emotions of this concert. Gwyneth Walker’s “About Leaves” breathes movement and energy into three Robert Frost poems\, followed by the featured work for the evening\, the vivacious Mozart Clarinet Concert\, performed by WSO’s own Dan Sheridan. The concert closes with the romantic spirit and emotional depth found in Louise Farrenc’s Symphony No. 3. \nProgram\nGWYNETH WALKER: About Leaves (R. Frost)\nW.A.
